Our dear @mikkelloh had a daughter about a week ago and it’s with mixed feelings that we’re announcing his departure from Feather Mountain. He needs to focus on his new role as a father and we’re extremely proud of him for making this decision. Being a musician is hard work and it takes courage to throw in the towel when you love it, but he has to do what feels right for him, his wife, and his daughter.
We’ve made three albums together, played countless shows, and shared the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. We’ll miss Mikkel so very much, but we’re still friends and we’re looking forward to playing a new part in his life. If everything goes south then he might help us out with a show or two but we are certain that a replacement will be found!

This means that we’re looking for a new, permanent member of Feather Mountain. We’re curious, open-minded, and we’re very aware that this will take the band in a new, refreshing direction artistically. We are equally interested in a female and male vocalist.

It’s important that our new band member wants to tour and travel, wants to grow with us, and wants to take responsibility as an artist and a team-player. We’ll figure the rest out ❤️

@christiandahlblumenberg was introduced to @gogo_penguin several years ago, but last week was the first time for him to see them live on stage.
It was a beautiful, almost cinematic experience with the combination of a leading, almost aggressive double bass, tasteful drums and soaring piano.

It was inspiring and fuels us creatively leading up to our show with @earthsideband on May 30th. Who else saw them on tour?
The song being played is “Ghost Naga” from their latest album “Necessary Fictions” from 2025.

@metaladaydk did an amazing live review of our show last weekend with @anabstractillusion and @disillusion_band . The review is in Danish but here is passage that we’re proud of: “I have to close my eyes several times and dream away. Oh, how I have missed these songs. There is also a heaviness and a wildness that creates a fusion that only Feather Mountain can on the Danish metal scene. There is no doubt that in 2026 they are on par with bands like Tesseract, Kanivool, Soen and Leprous when it comes to prog.”
