AI isn't perfect LOL but this is close to what I imagined. Berg Cup hillclimb inspired build. 1979 CVCC SB1 Mk1 dual DCOE powered ED 1500 motor. just playing with shapes again. still need to design a new battery/controller box/mount, as well as some vents to cool controller most likely jutting out from the mid trellis then vented down over the Fardriver. probably the most overbuilt EV Goped/moped at this point. battery and BMS/controller limited, but the hardware minus the brick is 35kw capable, which is too much for something this size. I will tune it to a sensible 3kw normal road cruising, to keep it legal. but it also means this thing will never break a sweat. I will eventually have an offroad switch/process that will allow me 12kw, but the torque is a point of concern at that point. Luckily I can dial that via the controller tune. This is more of a slow learn as I go project, I had always had an irrational fear of wiring, this project has helped me get over that. Radlocks, Duestch plugs, all of it has been a wonderful learning experience.

Looks like the rings gave out on the mk2’s 1.8 8v motor, time to refresh bottom end and make some airflow changes. Explains the oil pressure inconsistency, the severe blow-by, and the oil smelling like gas, and the odd pitting/oxidation i saw on the cam.. should feel much better when done. Got a bigger Bosch afm and vintage Audi throttle that should bolt on but have a bigger bore.. just gotta blend the intake mani to match. Gonna refresh and redo suspension while I’m at it. Once sorted and dialed. Redwood time for a proper shakedown. Also.. while not exclusively what I work on.. I love working on SOHC motors. #vagcars #mk2society #mk2 #burnallthemk2s #mk2jetta

Rough measurements to hopefully find better springs, for the impossibly small cvcc aux valve springs. I need to break the float issue that happens at 7000rpm. That plus worn seals(square cut oring of 70s materials, and crush washer leaking with age) are the primary bottleneck of this engine design for raising rpms. #1stgencivic #honda #hondavintageculture #hondavintage #cvcc #sb1 #mugen無限power
