For those of you who are new here, allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Lee Bahir Golden III, I'm 42 (as of this post), and I live in New York City. I'm the founder and editor of Film Combat Syndicate, an independent news platform where I gather, discuss and review film and TV, primarily covering action and martial arts with an eye on other genres, with an interest in stunts and the stunt community that dates about 20 years.
I cover a good deal of those things here on BlueSky, as well as here on Instagram where I also talk about plenty of other topics ado with more than entertainment. I care about the state of the world I live in and the country. As someone who survived a pandemic and is living under a heavily questionable government that is currently responsible for a number of atrocities in my lifetime, as someone who lost a sibling to a preventable pandemic that killed more than a million of us in the U.S. four years ago, as someone hustling to take care of his parents who are both retirees, and as someone bearing witness to a shitshow of war crimes my government is perpetuating around the world and here at home, I can't afford to be silent. In my view, no one can.
I welcome anyone with questions to share them with me privately, but do know that this page is my soapbox, my opinions are my own, I say what I say, and nothing is up for debate. I hope we can remain acquaintances, and even become friends off of social media.

Ten years ago today I took my inspiration from other niche sites before me and launched my own via Google's Blogger platform, five months after starting this movement right here on Facebook. Today, Film Combat Syndicate continues to thrive on the creative spirit of talented filmmakers and notable genre favorites in the world of action, horror, sci-fi, anime and more with an eye on world cinema, independent projects and, out of my own interests in action on film, stunt performers.
I'm also a lot busier in day-to-day life which is partly why I haven't been able to continue the site's sub-column, The Hit List, but it helps that I get to help bring attention to a number of titles that otherwise don't have any commercial reach, and it's still something I look forward to do on top of a number of things I would love to dabble in from a journalistic and critical point of view.
If you're still following this page and engaging in our site posts after all this time, know that I am hugely thankful for your support. Even if this post only gets one like or comment if you see this on Facebook - mostly because Facebook insists we all be suckers and pay our way to boost our audiences - I know there are more of you out there who enjoy my work as well as that of our contributors, past and present, and I speak for us all in thanking you from the bottom of our hearts.

Quick trip back in time when @iamcanaydin and @chayoon_rd raced against time in the streets of Berlin battling thugs and dirty cops in the 2017 German martial arts movie, PLAN B, directed by Ufuk Genc and Michael Popescu. Aydin is now readying to helm his first feature project based on a script he wrote titled THE HEALER with Eddie Peng and Ewan Mitchell.

Disruptive Element Films is proudly touting its latest martial arts drama prospect, NAK MUAY, based on a shortfilm by BAFTA-winning director Tinge Krishnan, and starring Muay Thai boxer Suablack (a.k.a. Natthaphum Kaeowatthanameth). The project is being pitched at Cannes and has since acquired backing by UK Global Screen Fund with the addition of Oscar-winning actress and martial arts star Michelle Yeoh, as executive producer to the team, as cameras get ready to roll in August.

Stunt multi-hyphenate (and friend) @iamcanaydin just wrapped his feature directing debut, THE HEALER, starring Eddie Peng and Ewan Mitchell. Production took place in Budapest, Hungary, and has launched sales at Cannes this month from 66cc for the Asian markets, CAA Media Finance for the U.S., and Highland Film Group for all other international rights.

SHADOW FIST: ORIGINS is in pre-production. Hong Kong stunt veteran Robert Samuels will direct the movie, which is being billed as a prequel/sequel continuation of the hit three-part independent kung fu shortfilm web saga that began in 2020. Robert Jefferson penned the script for the independent martial arts thriller whose action sequences will be shepherded in part by B-Squad Acciรณn whose Angel G. Brophy is also co-starring.
