🔰MATCHDAY 5 RESULT🔰
➡️ vs INFC
✍️Admin wasn’t there so not much to report…
…after a promising opening 20minutes, Jeans became completely unwound. Conceding several goals in quick succession and then in turn, becoming completely overrun by a physical and athletic INFC side.
Still setting records, however, registering our worst deficit defeat to date. Let’s leave it at that.
We’ll be back for more. At least we continue to entertain, one way or another.
Mon the Jeans. 🔰
🔰MATCHDAY 4 REPORT🔰
✍️ Better late than never… again. Somebody sack the admin.
An interesting match up - against a youthful and new-look Hearts side - became a game of moments.
Unfortunately, it was Hearts that made their moments count, as we struggled to create many solid chances in the first half, followed by a struggle to finish chances in the second. Despite working hard to create and adapt in the second half, we ended the 90 registering just our third fixture without scoring.
A first goal for the club for Big Kenzie, just in the wrong net this time around.
A tough day out for the Jeans, but we go again, as we always do.🔰
💚🔰HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY🔰💛

🔰MATCHDAY 3 RESULT🔰
😬A tough day out, in some of the most difficult conditions we’ve played in…😬
✍️Tower were well organised and clearly in the momentum of their league season, whilst ours is only really just beginning. They started strong and after their first goal, maybe around 15mins in, the floodgates started to open. The Jeans lads just couldn’t keep them out and we ended the first half 5-0 down.
A change of shape at the break, bit of a roasting from the gaffer and the Jeans came out a different team in the second half.
Just two minutes into the half, a cut inside from Biz on the left wing had him being brought down inside the box, winning a Jeans penalty. Confidently instructing his Captain he was ready to bury it, Biz steps up to have his penalty saved with a low shot to the keepers left.
Jeans kept fighting on and were much more organised in the midfield and a late appearance from Hampton seemed to boost our attacking output. 71 minutes in, Hampton made some space for himself with a promising attack and unselfishly set up Biz, who finished from a very tricky angle on the left of the goal.
Game finished 7-1 and although Jeans felt deflated at full time, there was an understanding of what went wrong and it was agreed that the fight was still there in tough conditions, with a depleted squad and minimal substitutes, against a well-drilled league side. We go again soon. ✍️

🔰MATCHDAY 3🔰
😬Somebody sack the admin. This was supposed to be out a week ago now. We’ve already played this game.😬
🔰Anyway, this was the team that faced First Tower on the weekend just gone. Match report incoming… once we can understand whether there was a Jeans own goal or not… and mark the culprit down into the Jeans history book, if necessary. Stand by.🔰
⚠️SPOILER ALERT: We lost.⚠️
🔰MATCHDAY 2 REPORT🔰
🙈Oh wow, better late than never. Been 3 months since this one. Try to remember it the best I can. 🙈
💚Jeans came out strong, riding surges of Hearts attacks yet providing some positive attacking moves ourselves. Until. A wonderful half volley from our defender Breuilly… did he mean to clear? Or did he mean to just hit a screamer? Either way, he beat the keeper on the wrong end of the field. 1-0 Hearts.
Jeans came back strong and adjusted the formation. Leading to us soaking up opposition attacks with relative ease and pushing forward with purpose.
An indirect free kick on the edge of the box allowed for a cheeky lay-off from Skrzypczak to Larkin, who sent a screamer flying off the crossbar and across the line. The rattling sound of the bar will live rent-free in the gaffers head for time to come.
Although the Jeans continued to control the game, Hearts got a lucky break around the Jeans goal area, and after 10 rounds of defensive ping-pong they managed to put the ball across the line for 2-1.
Several quick breaks from the Jeans followed, controlling the midfield and exploiting the wide players, leading to some lovely play involving the ever-creative Larkin setting up Mollet, for a tap-in on his debut to make it 2-2.
A couple of outrageous Sefton saves kept us in it, but in the end we were unlucky not to grab a winner, amongst fruitful attacks and the opposition also losing their heads - against each other.
We will absolutely take the draw on our second game out for the season, despite feeling like we could have snatched the win. Some new faces made some big impacts too, and we look forward to working with them some more in our second season of local football.
