Connect and Reflect - “Art is so important in its ability to tell stories and share meaning. And it's not just about the picture, but how it captivates its audience and how you participate in it. It is a way of reflecting and connecting with yourself and the world around you. I believe in creating art for purpose, it should be everywhere and be contributing to something. And this art is accessible, it has the freedom of movement .” Rapha #rapha #connect #reflect #design #RCC

“Repetitive patterns can be found everywhere in the natural world. From the planting of a seed to the pattern of a flower’s petals, constellations in the sky to each molecule of water. Different styles of this geometry can be found across religions and cultures. I wanted to create a design that bonded people together, beyond any kind of barrier, that represented something we are all a part of.” Indigenous Australian artist Matt Fellingham has lent his nature-inspired designs to our latest limited edition collection. Interested in the ability of bikes to be a force for positive change, his geometric patterns and natural tones communicate a connection to the past and reflection on the future within the print. We are also pleased to say that 12% of profits will go toward Rapha Foundation grantee Ride Nation and their effort to ensure equitable access to bikes for underserved students in Australia. Our collaboration received the woof of approval. @lumenandco created the lighting integration artwork with @i2carchitects , symbolising coming together, learning, living and creating unity. Such a beautiful process was undertaken with the team at I2C, nationally. This work will take the notion of team building in creating this interactive piece, which will take pride position in each of the offices. Thank you to the team at i2C who undertook the process, of learning, sharing and becoming Unity #unity #connect #reflect #belong

CREATIVE CONNECTION: We have had the pleasure of working in true collaboration with Matt Fellingham proud Awabakal Artisan, Consultant ( @fcad.com.au ), Creative designer and friend to create the powerful visual aspects of our Reconciliation Action Plan document. Matt explains “This piece “from the ground up” – is i2C, working collaboratively, from the ground up. From little things big things grow, the flowers show you working with new teams and supporting them, like flowers in bloom. The Symbolism of Aboriginal voice from under the ground, and being connected to voice, to country and the journey. Circle are yarning, discussing and working in collaboration. The Greens of new life and new beginning. We are one.” It has been both an honour and inspiration to work with Matt whom we thank with a big open heart and mind. #i2Carchitects#collaboration

IT STARTS HERE. Our journey of reconciliation has begun. We have a shared collective responsibility to become advocates for reconciliation and healing. We are only at the very beginning of this journey and for this reason, we are embarking on a Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan. The first steps that we are taking to achieve our reconciliation goals include raising awareness and fostering respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, peoples and lands; building relationships with the local land councils in every area where our studios are located; providing pathways and opportunities for Indigenous designers and creatives to work at i2C, and working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander design consultants to ensure projects reflect and communicate the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspective of the lands on which the project takes place. We have had the pleasure of working in true collaboration with Matt Fellingham proud Awabakal Artisan, Consultant, and Creative designer @fcad.com.au to create the visual aspects of our RAP document. We’ll share more on the beautiful and thoughtfully created artwork next. @reconciliationaus #i2Carchitects#reconciliationactionplan#RAP
