If a beast swallowed you whole… what would it taste like? 🔥🌿

Inside this mythical creature’s belly, we didn’t just eat—we felt, remembered, resisted. Every bite held a story, every flavour a fight for survival. From wild leaves to edible candles, artist Nahla Tabbaa @nahlatabbaa turned food into poetry, grief into strength. #Thil #TasteOfResistance

“Gerobak Cinema” is a mobile screening station presented as part of The Collective Body curated by Diana Campbell Betancourt and Kathryn Weir. The Chattogram based collective Jog Art Space and the Jakarta based collective ruangrupa collaborate using a rickshaw, producing screening sessions at Ramna Park Foot-over Bridge around the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, taking the energy from inside the venue out into the streets of Dhaka. The equipment was collaboratively created by the community according to local aesthetics to screen their own videos/ short films.

I haven’t totally understand one Japanese thinker Kojin Karatani’s book History and Repetition but one of his concept in this book haunts me quite a long time. Karatani developed a theory of history based on the repetitive cycle of crises joined by the study of Japan's modern history. One of my friends said that the theory should go further. He thinks the history goes more like a whirl. I remember his words when I looked down from the Manzeki Bridge. So combining the thinking of “exchange”(交流), I started the research of whirl under the Manzeki Bridge. The word of “exchange”(交流) in Chinese and Japanese literally means “the meeting of different streams”.
