This #ArmedForcesDay, we salute the men and women serving in the United States military. Their discipline, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our nation reflect values deeply shared within the public safety community. Many of our members have worn both uniforms, and we are proud to honor the common thread of service that connects our professions. FBI-LEEDA thanks all active-duty service members for their dedication to keeping our nation safe!

This week, members of the FBI-LEEDA Executive Board traveled to Washington, D.C. to join the public safety community in observing #NationalPoliceWeek, designated by Congress to honor the service and sacrifice of officers across the country. Being in Washington this week is a reminder of what this profession asks of people and what so many have given without hesitation. FBI-LEEDA remains committed to honoring the fallen, supporting the living, and developing the leaders this profession deserves.

To the mothers in public safety — those who start their shifts before sunrise, and lead with the same strength at work that they bring home after a long day — this day is for you. The demands of this profession are heavy, and you carry more than most will ever see. FBI-LEEDA is proud to support and develop leaders who meet those demands both on duty and at home. Happy Mother’s Day! #MothersDay

The statistics on first responder mental health are well known at this point, but that’s less often discussed is the role leadership plays in shaping them. When chiefs and commanders create a culture where seeking help is normal and supported, it directly impacts how officers respond and engage with their own wellbeing. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth is a timely reminder to ask: what kind of culture are you building? FBI-LEEDA develops leaders who understand that the strength of their agency starts with the wellbeing of their people.
