The Victorian government recently brought forward the political party registration deadline by 60 days. This leaves us with just 14 days to get the Fightback Against Racism party on the ballot for the November state election.
We need to submit 500 official members to the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) by Monday 1 June. If we don't hit this number, voters won't see our name on the ballot paper.

Fightback Against Racism is a grassroots movement dedicated to challenging systemic discrimination, protecting migrant communities, and ensuring everyone in Victoria feels safe, valued and respected.

FairWork legislation has changed for the positive for our community that drives #uber or #ubereats in 2025.
A lot of drivers are unaware of how this impacts them. Drivers are now considered 'employee like' and should get all the benefits of a direct employee.

The Australian government is continuously cutting crucial funds that people need in order to perform the basics in life.

Today ( 8 May 2026) we supported the snap action to tell Albo, 'Don't Cut NDIS, Tax Gas." in the City Square in Naarm (Melbourne).
The issues addressed were:
• Aussie beer drinkers are paying more tax than multinational gas corporations exporting our resources.
• That's just not fair -especially when Australians are under huge cost-of-living pressures from interest rate rises, rent increases, rising fuel costs, and climate impacts.
FightBack Against Racism believes that our people should come first, not big gas companies!
FBAR represents the people, not profits from tax on us.
We want to hear what you want included in the positions and policies of everybody. Each and every one of us have different issues at the top of our lists.

Rod Barton has been tireless in his pursuit of this exploitative company. Uber targets vulnerable migrant communities, desperate for money and pays them appalling rates. This is despite the courts deciding that they are in fact employees and deserve all the rates and conditions that come with that.
It's time to FightBack against companies like Uber, and change the legislation to support these workers, to force Uber and others to comply. Time to FightBack!"
