Life has a strange way of teaching us lessons so deep that they rebuild our mindset and reshape our morals, allowing us to start over each time as wiser versions of ourselves. Every life lesson can truly be summed up in one sentence: God is far greater than you think.
We close our eyes when we pray because the most beautiful things in life are not meant to be seen, but felt by the heart. Once you return to Him with a broken heart, you are never the same person again. You could call 112 while your house is on fire and still smile; because the real fire inside you has already been extinguished. From that moment on, nothing in life can truly harm you, and I mean that literally.
God heals in countless ways. Like he keeps you always busy so you no longer have time to feel the pain.
The true level of adulthood is realizing that you are deeply damaged, yet choosing to move forward with full awareness of your attitudes! so you never hurt anyone the way you’ve been hurt.
Only then will you truly understand what God meant by:
وَتَحْسَبُونَهُ هَيِّنًا وَهُوَ عِندَ اللَّهِ عَظِيمٌ
It’s strange how trauma teaches distance as a form of self-protection, even when all we seek is peace. With time, you realize that everything you went through was meant to shape you, not break you. You realize that the purest form of love is holding others in your prayers, without attachment, expectation, or presence. You come to understand that true love and real peace are found beside HIM ONLY.
