we don’t talk about this enough, but a lot of really solid local businesses are getting overlooked
not because they’re not good… but because they’re hard to find.
As someone building here locally, that’s never sat right with me.
there are so many people in the community who genuinely want to support local…but they just don’t always know where to look, or it’s not easy to buy when they do find you.
So we started putting something together to make local discovery and connection easier. something that helps local businesses in NWA not just get discovered, but build a real local audience… people who come back, support consistently, and actually shop. Especially for those without a storefront or full website setup.
Nothing complicated, just a better bridge between what you’re building and the people already around you who want to support it
If you’ve been feeling this and would be interested in collaborating on an easier way to grow locally without adding more to your plate, let’s connect!

One of the best parts about living in Northwest Arkansas is discovering places like @greydogboutique , it’s one of those places, as a local, that you recommend when everyone who asks where to find the ‘really good’ vintage.
No hype.
Just well-curated racks full of vintage pieces you won’t find anywhere else.
We stopped by to learn the story behind the shop and featured them on @fayetteguide

NW Arkansas’s culinary scene is growing fast! 💡Trivia Question: how many new restaurants opened in NW Arkansas last year?

I never thought I’d do this, but everyone has asked why we built FayetteGuide so I figured I’d share.
I’ve lived in Northwest Arkansas for over 15 years and in that time I’ve watched it grow. Expand. Evolve.
But the thing I’ve always loved most?
The small town feel.
The small businesses.
The farmers markets.
The shops on the square
The summer concerts.
The pop-ups.
That’s the soul of this area.
But I’ll be honest.
Every Saturday I would fight with myself.
Do I load up my kids and fight the crowd, at the farmers market…
or do I Instacart my produce and survive the weekend?
Some weeks I made it out,
Some weeks convenience won.
And every time it did, I felt guilty like I was letting my local community down by not supporting.
That’s when it hit me:
Why should we have to choose between community and convenience?
Why is supporting local so much harder than it needs to be?
There should be a way to find, discover, support and experience local…even when I can’t leave my couch.
I started searching, surely something must already be out there? Nothing.
Nothing that’s not siloed by city. clunky. or scattered in 12 spots just to find the info, tickets, products, etc. — and heaven help you if you want it shipped or available same day without driving around.
I wanted just one space.
For all of it.
Restaurants. Boutiques. Market sellers. Vintage. Handmade. Pop-ups. Nightlife. - Easy. Fast. Fun. Shareable.
So I built it. And that’s @fayetteguide .
It’s not perfect.
It’s growing.
But I’m proud of it.
And If that sounds like something you’d like to, I’d love a follow and share.

This community deserves a platform that works as hard as they do.
That’s what we’re building.

the dive bar,
the corner shop,
That underground spot.
All have one thing in common. They’re waiting for you to show up.
But you have to hear about them first.

You’re not antisocial. You’re just overstimulated.
And if you’re seeing this?
It’s your sign to do something different.
“Soft socializing” is more than the 2026 buzzword. It’s the low-stim socializing we all need right now.
So what is it? Tldr; it’s activity-first hangs where conversation is optional and connection happens naturally.
NW Arkansas has been always been ahead of the curve on trends, and soft socializing is no different.
So, here’s our round up of perfect soft social moment to try in NWA:
Pottery nights at @communitycreativecenter
Wandering + workshops at @terrastudios
Acoustic shows at @waltonartscenter
Community performances at @artslivetheatre
Garden walks at @bgozarks
Vintage Pop-ups @dirtbagvintage.co

Let’s be honest.
It never really left. It just feels like it sometimes.
Northwest Arkansas has grown.
New buildings. New brands. Bigger launches.
It’s exciting. It’s fun.
And it’s also made it a little harder for the mom-and-pop, the market seller, the handmade, the “made it in my garage” kind of business to stay visible.
Visibility shouldn’t belong to whoever has the biggest marketing budget.
There’s room for both.
Because the people who love handmade, curated, locally grown, locally made —
we’re still here.
We want the booth at the market.
The small batch drop.
The weird little pop-up with soul.
We want our community to feel like something.
@fayetteguide is a space for small.
A hyper-local marketplace that keeps those businesses visible
even when the market ends
and the storefront closes
So that the ones creating
and the ones looking
can actually find each other.
Less friction.
More connection.
