Classic “how i made *insert song title” ! Lets go😸 1. What an old song! Wrote pt 2 first, not sure what id do with it yet but it was cool and relaxing 2. Silly me doing something with my hands during an online meeting! Thank God for it tho lol cuz i stumbled upon that voicing 3. Got to work immediately with lyrics bc i can never rest when i have a song idea, using lyrics i already had and having to modify them slightly to fit and rhyme 4. Filled the rest of the melody with prewritten lyrics about a powerful moment i had, initially thinking these two verses would have a chorus between them. Had no idea these two guitar ideas would come together… 5. But eventually they did! Figuring out pt 2 lyrics! Once again had prewritten stuff so i just had to combine the two and figure out a narrative that makes sense with what i was trying to say esp now that i had two parts 6. The context if yall didnt know😼 and yeah dont be a skeleton i just could not figure out a not-cringe way to say it so it was trashed! 7. Had the song concept done by then! Im glad i thought of doing the off beat with my lyrics and doing a key that fit me in general cuz what is that jan 20 recording… i screenrecorded it at the end for a reason lol. Was kinda scrambling to get a concept and to have enough time to record bc… 8. Surprise it was for a birthday! What better gift than a song. Idk a lot of things probably, i also kinda ruined the surprise cuz @soundcloud likes playing the last song u listened to in the car out of nowhere😻 9. Made @solace_real ‘s life miserable per usual, we made it work 10. Made @fairwaywho ‘s life miserable per usual, we made it work Yeah i wish i recorded more of the actual recording process but that did not happen, ik ad libs were added over the summer but das it! It stayed one version for a long time but then we got to work! Yeah

Been a long time coming! I been putting it off bc finding old messages sucks! Anyway in doing this apparently it takes me about exactly a year to make a fully produced song lol?? 1. Tried a new tuning (EbADGBE, hardly different lol), found a nice chord progression and sang on it. I hated those lyrics- not everything you write needs to become a song! And that’s ok! 2. Tried to play it in more unique ways as opposed to strumming and eventually tried tapping, fell in love immediately. 3. Eventually went to fingerpicking as well after inspiration from Sickworld by @mercury_tracer 4. Found writing inspiration after seeing a Snapchat story actually! Clearly the song is very personal, i knew exactly which instrumental to pair the lyrics with. I still really like the old lyrics, its just a matter of preference and conciseness! 5. Convo with the initial producer @jatin.k_13 , he is the reason the lyrics permanently say “Him” ! 6. After getting the word choice confirmation i whipped up something as fast as i could (this motivation has literally never occurred in my life lol) and produced a pretty nice result imho! 7. Showed @solace_real , bro just casually remixes what we know now as “dying to live”?? I only had the chorus at that point and he encouraged me to finish writing the whole thing so we can make it fr 8. So i did. It took a few tries to get the final lyrics, it’s fun seeing the process in what i decide to change 9. Ppl weren’t kidding about having connections, i dont remember ever suggesting signing the song with a label he just asked the @11hx11h manager who i hadn’t talked to in forever. Also do i really look 15😔. Actually being 15 and writing this song would make me a prodigy so i wish 10. We did that. Apparently i suck to work with (I’m v picky lol) but i think I’m gonna stick around and produce for a while😈
