@theyarndispensary has made the BBC today with their window display celebrating Sir David Attenborough’s 100th 🎂 🦧
A community effort to put together his display, it deserved this recognition.

Built by hand. Rowed with pride.
Tucked away in Faversham, Community Boat Build is quietly passing on traditional woodworking skills, bringing people together to craft something real from scratch. From first plank to first launch, it’s about patience, learning, and that moment when the boat you helped build finally meets the water.
“There’s a real satisfaction in being able to say, ‘I helped make that’… and then rowing it yourself.”
Pick up a copy of Faversham Firework from local stockists around town to read the full story.

Faversham, this one’s worth slowing down for.
Destination #7 of Sound Emergence’s This Place Meant lands at The Hot Tin with Maureen Wolloshin bringing something a little different. Live sound, conversation, and a project rooted in the strange, almost forgotten history of Faversham’s anchoress.
Expect an intimate afternoon. Home cooked food, a drink in hand, then a performance that leans into atmosphere and story, followed by a proper Q&A with the artist.
Not a big, noisy event. One to sit with.
Sunday 12 April
12–3pm
12–1: Drinks, food, and time to settle in
1–2: Live performance
2–3: Talk + Q&A (bar open)

A chance to come together and look after one of Faversham’s most well-used spaces.
The Faversham Creek Clean returns this Sunday as part of the Great British Spring Clean, bringing volunteers together to care for the creek and Abbeyfields.
Running from 10am–12pm, the event is open to anyone who would like to get involved. Attendees are asked to bring gloves and wear suitable clothing.
A simple way to spend a morning outdoors, and give something back locally.
