When we protect nature, we protect our future. 🌏 🌿
Every day, extraordinary people are out there, saving nature in extraordinary ways. Forest rangers. Community wardens. Citizen scientists. Wildlife champions. All with one common purpose. Protecting the precious species and habitats that keep our planet's essential life-support systems in balance.
Every living being has a role to play in the survival of everything else. What will yours be?
#ExtraordinaryEverything
If you see the extraordinary in everything, if you're in awe of the wonder of nature, if the smallest of minibeasts excites you as much as the majesty of a blue whale, you're one of us.
Pollinators. Seed dispersers. Storm defenders. Habitat protectors. Waste disposers. Ecosystem engineers. Every living organism has a part to play in the health of our planet. But it is getting harder. Nature is facing unprecedented threats as a result of climate breakdown, deforestation, wildfires, species loss and an increasing disconnection from the natural world.
Every species plays an extraordinary role in the survival of everything else. Our role is to help protect them. Will you join us?
A thank you to @openplanetorg for their footage library.
You’ve heard it all before - climate change, habitat destruction, unsustainable resource use, poaching, it’s all having a destructive impact on our planet. But we want to change the story.
Working with local partners, communities, businesses and governments, our shared purpose is to protect the diversity of life on Earth, for the survival of the planet and its people.
We are:
🌍 Protecting habitats
🌍 Reviving the ocean
🌍 Reducing extinctions
🌍 Stopping illegal wildlife trade
🌍 Combatting climate change
We fuse local and international knowledge to find the best solutions to the issues we face; from working directly in biodiverse areas, to influencing governments and businesses on a global scale.
We are committed to saving nature, together. By supporting Fauna & Flora, you’re supporting the survival of our planet.

Swipe to reveal a wonderful weirdo!
An oily waterproof coat, infrasound communication and a third eyelid? It's impossible not to love the oddball okapi 🤎
Fauna & Flora is working with our partners to safeguard the okapi's forest home in Maiko National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Celebrating nature's greatest champion. 💚
Our vice-president Sir David Attenborough - a member of Fauna & Flora for over six decades - turns 100 today. No one has done more to bring the wonder of nature into the hearts and minds of so many.
It's impossible to do justice to his immense impact in a single birthday message, or to express just how grateful we are for his dedication to creating a brighter future for our planet and all its inhabitants.
Sir David's legacy is so vast that he is believed to have more species named after him than any other person. To celebrate his century of life, we are highlighting just some of the 50+ species that bear his name (as well as the very building Fauna & Flora HQ is based in!).
Thank you, Sir David, for all that you've done. You are a constant source of inspiration to us all. 🌿
