good day to get some custom prints done on the riso at @diskettepress i made these straps (with hands) and made the print off a posterized photo. print is for my packaging but also to wrap the straps in more straps. i am so excited to see things coming together recently eee!

it's been a minute so here's a lil photo dump and a lil less mystery than previous posts 1. for my birthday this week everyone has been taking really great photos of me looking hot and happy (i'm nick, hi) 2. a gift for a dear friend whose last hogtie clip set kept breaking...these are not fucking around 3. planning a STURDY prototype 4. the gua sha tool that i currently have to use on my arms every. single. day. i have a repetitive stress injury from overusing my hands (which i do constantly for my day job and also my creative practice). it has been damn near impossible to leatherwork during this time and it's been a bummer. however, glad to run into this now so i can learn how to work a bit more sustainably when i'm ready to sell the things i'm making - it looks like using different tools/machines, grip assists and balancing the hours i give to my day job (which i love so much) and my studio practice carefully. a good lesson on aging gracefully and being kind to this body so it can keep making things. assistive devices and aids are hot and i think about them a lot when i make leather. 5. all my current studio time is for a huge install for @theorfelia , here is some ice dye in my bathtub, i will have dyed like 65 yards of fabric for this by showtime on 6/29. no i cannot explain further here, you just have to come see what futuristic diy mycology looks like. i'll be easing back into leatherworking and updating my tools after this show yeeee ok bye!
