I had only seen @fateshandhc one other time, earlier this year at the @braingraffitichicago showcase at Bricktown, but I was stoked to see them on this SOLD OUT fall bill...though less stoked to learn that this would purport to be their last ever performance. I'll say this at least, these guys went out with a bang 🤘
They opened this set waxing beautifully poetic about what our local music community has meant to them and hardcore as a lifestyle, giving tips, warnings, and hope looking forward for the future of hardcore to an eager crowd ready to get throwing before ripping into a set worthy of being a band's last. It was bombastic, it was violent, it was heartfelt, and it was everything you could ask for in a send-off. Wishing these guys all the best in their future endeavors, musical and otherwise 🙏 Thank you for your time playing for and with our community 🎤🥁🎸🎸🎸
Fate's Hand stated before they closed their set for the last time that they will have a posthumous release dropping before year's end 👀 I dont know when, but when it does...I'll bet you it rips crazy, so keep and eye out!!
