Business is at the intersection of critical relationships between humans, our needs/desires and our environment. The economy, as the embodiment of that intersection, has the power to drive the most extractive kinds of practices, environmentally and socially. How business is conducted is a keystone of our current paradigm. But it could be different, if businesses threw down for another kind of reality. This is why we joined Purpose Pledge. Not because we’ve perfected anything, but because we believe businesses can be rooted in care, accountability, reciprocity, and interdependence instead of a shortsighted and myopic focus on profit, at the cost of everything else. We are honored to be part of this cohort and deeply grateful to be in conversation with people asking bigger questions about what both wellness and business can look like in creating a world that is good for all of us.
