💥 @mariepolletv and @laurierenoton set a new FKT on the famous Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt! The French girls and close friends completed the route in 20h34’. Their idea dates back to 2025, inspired by @tintin_des_bossons and @hillary_gerardi , the duo who paved the way for women on this epic crossing. For Marie and Laurie, it was above all a personal adventure. The main goal was to complete the route together as friends. They usually race and train together, and this was something to enjoy first and foremost. The record was not their primary focus. They did a recon of the first half the week before. Then, conditions turned perfect, so they gave it a try without having checked the second half. And they did it — fast, and in amazing style. We really like to see women taking on such big projects. Kudos to you, and thanks for the inspiration! 📷 @symon_gerard

On today’s episode, host Heather Anderson is joined by Lotti Brinks who recently set the overall FKT for a Utah classic: the Zion Crossing FKT. This 37 mile version of the now closed Zion Traverse travels through highly varied terrain from sandy trail to creekbeds and muddy plateaus. Lotti shares her experiences with early season conditions, lucky weather windows and how her supported effort became a series of missed connections and bonus miles.

FKT HAUTE ROUTE 🏔️ 1️⃣ The immensity of the challenge and the landscapes. We are the two tiny dots on the left. 🌌 2️⃣ Chamonix church, 12:33 AM: ready, set, go! ⛪ 3️⃣4️⃣ The first 8 km are all on tarmac, we use them as a warm-up. 🏃‍♂️ 5️⃣ Glacier d’Argentière: icy snow, full moon, and a light breeze. 🌕🧊 6️⃣ Col du Chardonnet: crampons on, descending the couloir using the rope. We pass another roped party on the traverse who cheers us on. 🤝 7️⃣ Descending from Col de la Grande Lui crossing a massive avalanche debris field. We’re still those two tiny dots with headlamps. 🔦 8️⃣9️⃣ Breakfast in La Fouly after almost 4 hours, then off we go again towards Col Sud des Planards. 🥐☕ 🔟 At Bourg-Saint-Pierre we refill our packs with enough water and food to last us all the way to Zermatt. Climbing up towards the Cabane de Valsorey and the Plateau du Couloir. 🎒 1️⃣1️⃣ Descent from Col du Sonadon. Here begins the endless Glacier d’Otemma (10 km). 📈 1️⃣2️⃣ Moving side-by-side for a bit to chat and pass the time. 1️⃣3️⃣ And a bit in single file to save our breath. 1️⃣4️⃣ Scavenging our pockets for snacks that ended up stuck to the climbing skin glue. 🍫😅 1️⃣5️⃣ Col de l’Evêque, Col du Mont Brûlé, and Col de Valpelline. And finally, him: the Matterhorn. 🗻😍 1️⃣6️⃣ Final bombing descent and a cool-down jog to the church in Zermatt. ⛪🔥 1️⃣7️⃣ Mandatory selfie. 📸 1️⃣8️⃣ The hardest choice of the day: ice cream flavors. 🍦🤤 1️⃣9️⃣ But how do we get back to Chamonix now? On skis? 🎿🤔 2️⃣0️⃣ Haute Route track: 103 km and 8244 meters of elevation gain. 📸 @noa_barrau
