One of my New Year’s resolutions was to get back out competing the horses after a busy couple of years writing and working. So here we are on the first day of spring doing dressage ☺️. Matilda was a dream and tried her heart out, even good as gold when the wind blew the side of the arena over! Thank you @dominiqueppark@zoefry and @katedaviesstories (and my mum) for the ground support, grooming, videos, and emergency arena fix!! Plenty to work on for the rest of the season, but happy to be back in the game.

Excited to announce my next book out in March 2026 will be ‘A Pocket Guide to Dr. Martens’. I had a great time writing this book, packed full of research into the amazing stories around the history of the brand. From musical greats like the Who, via subcultures like the skinheads, counterculture punks, goths, grunge, rave, queercore, as well as high fashion collaborations, design details, celebrity fans, and loads more, it’s the perfect book for DM aficionados! Over time, the history of the boots became intertwined with revolution and rebellion. I love mine and have several pairs!
Preorder now for a great deal and hopefully get some traction for the launch! The deal is on all spring books on their website. Books are always a good idea!
