Three weeks before her nikah, my client called me heartbroken.
Her nano had passed away — the same person who was supposed to walk her down the aisle. She told me, “I don’t know how I can do this without her.”
So instead of solely focusing on the event, we decided to honour her nano.
We placed a life-size portrait from where she was supposed to start her walk, and instead of an aesthetic phoolon wali chadar, she walked under her nano’s dupatta — carrying her love and presence with her.
This Mother’s Day, my heart is with everyone missing a mother or maternal figure. Some love never leaves us. 🤍
