2024 was indeed my year Al7mduleah, full of challenges and adventures, I got to leave my comfort zone, fail, learn new things, and find friendship within myself before others.
May we always extend kindness and receive it from the most kind. 🙏
Blessed Friday.
The war in Sudan is still going, and our brothers and sisters are suffering. If you ever felt helpless, remember words are power. "Bullets make people run away, but words make them turn around and listen," Raj

When we gathered inside an old tram in Castlemaine.
The carriage stayed still, but through music, poetry, and shared stories, we travelled together.

Halaqa, art shared, not performed.
13-year-old Fawaz Abou Eid’s voice reminded us that truth has no age.
On the Seekers Stage, creativity meets courage — and young hearts rise to speak for what matters.
This is why we exist.
To give space to voices that feel, reflect, and express with purpose.
The future is thoughtful. The future is brave.
Get to know our next guest Faris @farismindal 🎉 Originally from Sudan, Faris began his creative journey later in life, teaching himself the violin and filmmaking with determination and perseverance. His path led him to create a documentary on the Sudanese revolution, as well as opportunity to get involved in an Oscar-nominated film.
After moving to Australia, Faris continued to immerse himself in creative film projects. We’re truly blessed to have him join us! His story is a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late to start creating. 🎻🎬

🎤✨ What a night of laughter, words, and purpose! We gathered some of Melbourne’s finest stand-up comedians and one powerful poet for an evening of comedy and spoken-word – all in support of Olive Kids, the Australian foundation dedicated to improving the lives of children in Palestine. Shot by the brilliant @mowkam
By coming together – sharing jokes, stories, and the stage – we raised funds and awareness for a cause that matters deeply. Every laugh, every line, every moment of connection contributes to education, health-care and hope for young lives.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who performed, volunteered, donated and showed up. Because of you, we’ve taken a step closer to a world where children live free, full and safe childhoods.
Stay tuned for more events like this and, if you’d like to keep supporting Olive Kids’ mission, visit the link in their bio.

It was really great to meet with the team behind #ReuniteSudaneseFamilies at the Centre last week. This community led campaign is building momentum for fairness and dignity in humanitarian visa pathways, because loved ones belong together.
