I: My Father Bleeds Historyâweâll host a vol. II book club next month. if youâve got âthe Complete Maus,â weâre only discussing the first half.
Maus is Spiegelmanâs chronicle of his fatherâs experience in the Holocaust. often marketed as a kids book because itâs a comic and the characters are animals, Maus is not a childrenâs book but it winds up being a formative text for many jewish kids learning about the Holocaust. beyond the subject matter, Maus is a staggering achievement of graphic storytelling that any comics fan should read.
