Commissioned by Regent Hong Kong
@hongkongregent ,
I shaped 220 bronze trees—each a quiet bonsai—
inspired by the ancient art of Chinese miniature landscapes
and the dragonfly’s fleeting grace.
From bronze sheets, I cut their silhouettes,
then hammered, welded, and stained them into life.
In Chinese tradition, the dragonfly is lightness in motion,
a moment of stillness—
“rebirth after rain, auspicious perch.”
Born beside this harbor,
I carry its tides in my memory.
Now these works rest along Victoria Harbour,
not as I once sculpted,
but in a new language of form and silence.
I am grateful for this years-long journey,
for the rare chance to weave sculpture
into the living breath of this city—
a bond, a memory, quietly anchored.

@hongkongregent 委託製作的項目，
我以「中式盆景」與「蜻蜓」為靈感，
在銅片上剪出蜻蜓的剪影，
經過敲打、焊接、染色——
最終誕生了 220 件各具姿態的銅樹。
蜻蜓在華夏文化中象徵輕盈與靜思，
亦代表了:「雨後新生，吉祥停駐。」
生於這個地方，
港口伴隨了不少的成長記憶。
作品有幸能座落於維多利亞港旁，
並且以有別於過往創作，
呈現另一種美學和面貌。
感恩能得到這一項橫跨年份的創作項目，
讓我能以雕塑和這美好的地方
增添一份特別的連結和記憶。
