When I say the beach was on the other side of the country, I mean a 3-4 Hour Drive.
Then we took this little speedboat for about 30 minutes to get to the islands.
A true excursion.
A belly of fibroids and all and I was not gonna skip the high school challenge. My tripod came in handy.
We left that first island, then went to a natural pool with a yacht, the baddies, and starfish all over.
The most beautiful island where I had an encounter with who we called merman(I’ll post the video soon), we had piña coladas in coconuts, and a tasty lunch with a very amazing hot sauce.
The last island we visited was the indigenous peoples island GunaYala people and we saw how they live off 100% the lands in nature and they lived in the shacks shown at the end. The proceeds from our excursion went to their community. They are independent from Panamá.
It was an educational and rugged type of experience. I booked it through Airbnb experiences. It will be a one time thing for me. I would rate it a 7 because of the long ride there and back. I would recommend they do the educational part first bc I wasn’t trying to hear none of that after being out in the sun all day.
I adored the 2nd island where we ate lunch.
The natural pool was cool to see the starfish and I swam out pass the edge into the deep. It was lovely. 🩵
By time we made it back to Panama City, it was night time. I showered, washed my hair, moisturized my skin really good and called it a night.

So on Day 3 I started a the day a little later than desired. I was still tired from all the walking on my excursions the day before with the rooftop food tour and the bar crawl right after.
So yeah, excuse me if my pics from the shoot turned out blasé. They will serve a very distinct purpose soon. Stay tuned. Lolol
After my shoot the I was so hot in that dress. I was supposed to but a traditional Panamanian dress for the pics but I was too big for all their petite clothes. #BigFisah I got an iced coffee and they gave me a macaron for my bday. I also had a handmade mojito. (Lost footage)
There was a festival going on in the square behind my building on the day I left old city. My uber to New City was only $4. Once I got there I explored my hotel and the casino in the Hilton next door (lost footage) then I made reservations at the restaurant in my building.
I had the salmon, grilled veggies, jasmine rice, a glass of Cab, and my dessert. I told them I’d like my dessert on the balcony so I could enjoy the views.
I spend majority of my life solo, so this didn’t feel in any way unfamiliar or uncomfortable for me to enjoy my own company. I was just so proud of myself for stepping out on faith and taking the solo trip out of the country. That was a huge deal!! I was supposed to do this whole trip for my bday in 2024, but I shared my plans prematurely and they completely fell through. 2025 I knew I couldn’t hold myself back and I couldn’t say a word until everything was booked and all was clear.
God blessed me for trusting Him, and I’ll never forget this wrinkle in time. 💝
Day 2 of my birthday trip to Panamá City, Panamá 🇵🇦
It was tour day. I had a restaurant and rooftop tour, and a bar crawl booked.
I thought the bar crawl would be the perfect way to bring in my birthday as a solo traveler. It did not disappoint. I think it was the highlight of my trip!!

Birthday Trip: Day 1 Recap
Join me on day one of my birthday trip as I land in Panamá 🇵🇦
Checked into my place, visited a museum, toured the Casco Viejo sights, had happy hour on a rooftop with beautiful views, then ended back at my place right before rainfall.
It rained for about an hour, then I called myself exploring the nightlife solo but my behind was kinda spooked out in another country by myself at night. Took my behind right back inside after about 5 minutes. 😅
On my way back in my downstairs neighbor was wrapping up his sold out cooking class and invited me to hang out and have some snapper and oxtails they had just cooked. We had wine and vibed for a little while before I called it a night.
Day 1 was smooth and a lot to take in. I texted mom to let her know I made it in safe & sound, then I slept like a baby. I had to rest up for my two tours I booked for day 2… Stay Tuned.
