š I used to think being āa good personā meant always being available.
Turns out⦠it also made me a business owner with no boundaries.
I was overdelivering, overextending, and saying yes to things that werenāt aligned
Grief changed my capacity.
š« Leadership required me to honor it š«
Because the truth is this is a business built on people. And if I donāt protect my time, my energy, and my STANDARDS ⦠I canāt show up well for the people who ACTUALLY VALUE what I do.
š I still lead with love, integrity, and care.
I just donāt abandon myself, or my business, to prove it anymore.
Not everyone deserves access.
Not everything is aligned.
And not every āopportunityā is meant for me.
āš¾This season is about building with intention, reciprocity, and sustainability!!!!!
And respectfully⦠I like myself (and my business) too much now to go back šāāļø to w/e BS, I was settling for
You feel me ?!

šš½šHi Iām Franchesca Vargas, but everyone calls me Fancy
A Creative Founder and Cultural Architect located here, in the beautiful PNW.
I design arts-led experiences and cultural platforms that help cities, institutions, and communities drive economic impact, strengthen public engagement, and create more equitable access to the arts.
But the simplest way to say it is,
I build what I know communities actually need.
Over the past few years, that work has grown into a connected ecosystem:
āØELEVATE ā arts-driven events & cultural activations that bring people together and activate spaces
āØCULTIVATE ā a platform creating paid opportunities and visibility for artists
āØBlack Love Market ā a marketplace supporting Black-owned businesses through culture and commerce
āØPRISM ā a creative wellness initiative centered on healing, care, and community
Different entry points.
Same intention.
This didnāt come from theory.
It came from lived experience.
Iām a first-generation daughter of immigrants, a mother of four, and someone who has known what it feels like to move through life without access, without support, & without community.
So I built it.
And in a lot of ways, this work has been about turning pain into purpose and realizing that being in service to community is healing in itself.
Along the way, Iāve been honored in ways I donāt take lightly. Including multiple city proclamations recognizing this work, being named to 425 Magazineās 40 Under 40, Front-page, above-the-fold Business section feature in Renton Reporter
and receiving an Elevating Equity & Justice Award.
But the real impact has always been the people.
⨠The artists paid.
⨠The spaces filled.
⨠The connections made.
I understand that Iām in a position of leadership now. And I hold that with a lot of responsibility and a lot of gratitude.
Because none of this exists without community.
If youāve ever been part of something weāve created thank you.
If youāre new here, welcome
And if you believe in building spaces where people feel seen, supported, and inspiredā¦
youāre already aligned with the work.

šš½āāļøSpent the day supporting another community organizer, accidentally networking my way into a new business opportunity, ā¦ā¦ and learning that golf is really just expensive humility š¤£šā³ļø
But truly⦠this season of my life has me thinking differently about proximity, alignment, and intention
š Iāve been trying to move with more purpose about where I spend my time, who Iām building with, and the environments I place myself in.
And itās been interesting to watch how quickly opportunities open when the energy is aligned.
Sometimes ROI isnāt immediate money.
Sometimes itās access.
Sometimes itās relationships.
Sometimes itās being in the room before the room realizes they need you there.
Today happened to give me all of the above. š
Also⦠still undecided if Iām a golfer or just emotionally attached to the outfit šš

šø Spent the afternoon surrounded by beauty, blooms, and brilliant women at the Bellevue in Bloom gathering hosted by Bellevue Lifestyle Magazine
Grateful for the intentional hospitality, and for @bellevuelifestyle continuing to genuinely support the work weāve been building through ELEVATE + CULTIVATE over the last three years here in Bellevue.
šø Creating community-centered experiences rooted in art, culture, and connection is work we care deeply about, so being in spaces that celebrate collaboration and local impact always means a lot.
One thing about me? . . . . . Iām always going to root for women building meaningful things.
Love meeting fellow boss babes who are creating impact while still making space for beauty, connection, and joy. š¤
šø A bonus blessing of the day, running into some of my faves @wreck_tangle@believeinurpower@miesharussell_ thank you for being my sunshine for the day š

š¤ Growing Up #firstgeneration , we didnāt have much, & one thing my mom always told us is
āJust because youāre poor doesnāt mean you have to dress like it or act like it.ā
Not in a āimpress peopleā way but in a ārespect yourself enough to care how you show upā way.
That stuck.
So now? I dress the way I want to be addressed.
Even while Iām still building.
People assume I have money because of how I dress⦠and I get it.
But truthfully?
Iām a mom of four building businesses from scratch, and a lot of my closet came from the clearance rack.
One thing I do invest in is understanding what works.
Olive + cream / bone / off-white,something about this combo just reads elevated. Effortless. Intentional.
Expensive without trying too hard.
Style isnāt about how much you spend.
Itās about how you see yourself.
#dresshowyouwanttobeaddressed #styleonabudget #womeninbusiness #creativefounders
šø Some spaces donāt need to be completely transformed⦠they just need to be understood.
šø When I stepped into this Japanese teahouse, it already had a language of its own, soft, intentional, sacred.
My job as a creative isnāt to overpower that.
Itās to listen closely enough to translate it into an experience people can feel.
š Thatās the part of this work people donāt always see before the installs, before the florals, before the crowdā¦
Itās just me, standing in a space,
imagining something no one else can see yet.
And honestly?
Thatās my favorite part š
Stay close. This one is going to be special šø

But disciplined enough to still bloom under pressure.
Soft doesnāt always mean fragile,
even flowers push through concrete
