In the darkness my hands shone bright with pain, tingling. This pain was raw and powerful. Slowly I opened my eyes. I sat up. There was indeed fog. I couldn’t remember who I was, or where I came from. I started to cry, like a child.
In the darkness before waking, I could feel a heavy blanket of fog all around me. Moist, almost sticky. My feet felt as if tied with a tight cord. I could not move at all. There was dust in my nose.
