In honor of National Chihuahua Day, meet one of our littles: Geneva — a playful little terrier mix with a big personality and lots of love to give. 🐾
Today in honor of all the little dogs in our care, we’re asking for sponsors to help cover the real costs of rescue. Every dog that comes to us is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and receives the care they need before finding a home.
Even for a small dog, the expenses add up quickly:
• $175 — spay/neuter
• $100 — vaccines & microchip
• $50 — food for the month
• $30 — monthly flea treatment
• $10 — deworming
And this doesn’t include additional medical care for dogs that arrive sick, injured, neglected, or needing extra treatment.

Today we’re celebrating the short kings, tiny queens, and all the small-but-mighty pups who somehow take up 98% of the bed.
The best Chihuahua qualities?
• Confidence levels normally reserved for superheroes
• Zero awareness of their actual size
• Loyal to their people with their whole heart
• Expert-level side eye
• Tiny legs. Olympic-speed zoomies.
• Enough personality for at least three large dogs
• Professional blanket burrowers
• Will absolutely alert the household about a leaf moving three blocks away
