PINBALL CHACHA ♦️ I was obsessed with this song as a teen and I listened back to it recently and man I just love it so much. Decided to do a tribute, with a swanky man from the 40s, spent hours looking at The Internet Pinball Machine Database, swooned over pics of Clark Gable, also tried doing an animated lip sync for the first time of my life. All around some good times were had. 🎰
Real proud of this one. I wanted to channel the pure sensory marvel that is drinking a silly juice in the sun when it’s summer and you’re chilling with your friends and everything is good. Also it was a very good excuse to spend hours on vintage label websites. And it’s also a love letter to those Foco cans that just look visually delicious.
The illustrations ended up looking super 90’s anime with a warm nostalgic fuzzy feeling, which I’m pretty happy about. Can’t wait for summer to arrive man.
Blue Lagoon (1979) - Title Sequence
Turning 30, surrounded by loved ones indulging in my fantasy of being a Mob Boss at a 1979 tropical cocktail bar filled with gangsters, and then allowing me to do a photo shoot throwing dollar bills at them in slow motion, makes me feel hopeful the years to follow will continue being filled with movie magic.
I also couldn’t pass up on the opportunity to make a title sequence for our gangster movie, pretty inspired by the Cowboy Bebop opening and 70s title cards.

I’ve been struggling to pay my bills and I have a stock of prints rotting in a corner so I think it might be time to sell them. (LINK IN BIO!!!)
I am now opening my online shop, Fainek’s Cocktail Lounge for ooooooone week only.
