Dirtbox Recordings is proud to unveil the latest instalment in our From Russia With Love series, a project dedicated to spotlighting some of the most exciting and innovative producers emerging from Russia’s ever-evolving electronic music scene. This time, we welcome Moscow-born drum and bass prodigy Fade Duster to the family. Born Timofey, though his friends know him as Tim. Fade Duster’s love affair with music began early. At just 12 years old, he found inspiration in the electrifying sounds of Scooter and The Prodigy, a spark that soon led him to explore the darker, deeper tones of dubstep. A turning point came when he discovered his brother’s music collection and decided to tune into a podcast hosted by Russian drum and bass legend Bes. That moment ignited a passion for drum and bass that has only intensified since. Over the years, Fade Duster has carved a reputation for himself as one of Russia’s most forward-thinking producers, with a catalogue that includes standout releases on respected imprints like Neuropunk and Paperfunk. His style is marked by intricate sound design, raw energy, and a deep understanding of the genre’s roots and future directions. After keeping a close ear on Fade Duster’s output over the past year, we knew we had to bring him into the Dirtbox family. His music doesn’t just hit hard, it tells stories, pushes boundaries, and reflects the depth of talent that continues to emerge from Russia’s underground.
