Happy Saturday, Kalamazoo. We’re open everywhere as usual today, and our mobile team will be at the @kzoofarmmarket until 1:00pm. Espresso, pastries, bagels, and beans await you. We can’t wait.
Patio season will be here any moment. Best savored with good company—and maybe a cocktail at the Bookstore Cafe.
Cocktails, beer, and wine served daily (along with bagels and coffee, of course). Drop by. We’re excited to see you.
Bookings for our music & event venue @thepolishhall will be closed due to renovations through the 2026 season. Keep an eye out for events coming this summer: though we aren’t accepting music or event bookings, we’ve still got fun things lined up.

You’ve made it to the weekend. Come visit us if you need a coffee, a bagel, a midday snack… or just a spot to rest. Don’t forget: our hours are limited at the Bookstore and Hotel Cafes this weekend.
Our previous post listed the wrong day for our Hotel Cafe closure this weekend: the cafe will be closed on Saturday, May 9. We will be open again on Sunday!
The 2026 Vegan Chef Challenge is here, and our Downtown Cafe is participating! Drop by before the end of the month to sample our menu, featuring Poached Asparagus, Polenta with Salsa Verde, and a Lemon Pistachio Salad.
You can check out the other participants in this challenge—and vote for your favorite—with @kalamazooveganchefchallenge . Huge thanks to our entire kitchen team for pulling this off!
Just popping by to remind you that @viaviflowerfarm restocks our Downtown Cafe every Friday. Totally unrelated, but Mother’s Day is on Sunday. Maybe she’d like some flowers, or a bagel, or both…
We have alternate hours at the Bookstore Cafe this weekend: our cafe manager, Allie, is getting married!! We hope you’ll have patience with the amazing team of baristas running the cafe while our bookstore staff attends her wedding. Congratulations to Allie & Brian!
CORRECTION: The Bookstore Cafe will be open from 8am - 4pm on Saturday & Sunday: the Hotel Cafe will be closed on Saturday, May 9.
Happy market season! We’re back at the Kalamazoo Farmers Market: come visit Rue & Brenden, and check out our new mobile espresso setup. We’re in our usual spot at the end of the North Shed—we can’t wait to see you.
