I’m very happy to share the final, complete Animatronic Pygmy slow loris (Cu-Li) Built in Bellingen Australia by facehead.co, Built for the Vietnamese production (The Cu-Li never cries) Directed by Pham Ngoc Lan @phamngoclan This Puppet was designed and built in entirety by facehead.co in 2021, the puppet takes full advantage of new rapid prototyping workflow with a completely digital pipeline, z brush and CAD Design, DLP and FDM 3d printing as well as CNC machining and digital mould making techniques, as well as conventional fur replacement, hair punching and flocking. The tiny size of this creature made the design and build, and maintaining the lifelike movements a challenge, with the head core being only 30mm long for example, thank you Lan for the opportunity to build this puppet. A lot of progress on the new @anklepants character #stomata, this is a completely digitally produced 7 piece mechanical prosthetic ~ pull on produced in Z brush and rhino, original concept sculpted in around 2021, finally had the time to get it broken down properly, allot more of it done, texture is complete and all the test parts are out and looking very good, now the digital Mould making process is underway. More about that soon. #madewithzbrush

Been developing this colorisation and geometry generation workflow with Indi @arbormeta.au for a while now, this example from one of Arbor metas scans from of Iron Range, this is tile 20 & 21 from a 21 tile print of the region with detailed colour mapping indicating different types of Forest, taking the dense point cloud from the @riegllidar and turning it into something that can be produced with my 3d printers, it’s been an awesome collaboration with the incredible team at Arbor Meta, one of many, and many more to come!
