On my way to the airport, I received an email from an L.A. magazine interested in my story. I couldnāt believe my eyes, so I forwarded it to my PR to confirm its legitimacy. I had butterflies for the entire 5-hour flight. Even though I often return to my city to make ends meet while waiting for L.A. to pick up, this interest reassured me that someone is noticing my work. I started to get ahead of myself, thinking about lining up shoots for my submission, but then I realized I wanted to take a moment to honor those who have supported me along the way. Thank you to everyone who believed in me and stood by my side. Another fear unlocked ā loving this life of mine. My first horseback riding session went so well! I was so scared, but I pushed through. Iāve wanted to learn to ride for so long, but I didnāt think it was kind to ride any animal at my old weight. So, I waited until I lost 30 pounds ā and here we are. I think Whiskey will be seeing me more.
