Did you know that Chinese calligraphy is over 2000 years old?
More than handwriting, calligraphy has long been connected with philosophy, poetry and meditation. Each brushstroke reflects energy and the individuality of the writer. Today, it continues to inspire artists and audiences around the world. Who knew Chinese calligraphy would be so cool? ;)
Participants will receive a short introduction to the history and different styles of Chinese calligraphy, followed by a hands-on guided practice. You will learn how to hold the brush, understand basic strokes, and write meaningful Chinese characters. Each participant will create their own calligraphy artwork to take home. All materials are provided.
Your host, Ruya Zhang is a Chinese educator and facilitator based in Lisbon.

Meet Luke Aulin from Canada, the author of Finding the Beauty Way. One day, Luke sold nearly everything he owned and left his home behind. All he had was one backpack.
He left his home in search for answers, traveling through strange lands and seeking out healers. That journey led him to write a brutally honest memoir about the story of navigating through the chaos and beauty of life itself.
On Saturday, April 25th, at 2 pm, Luke will be flying in from Bali for a live interview where he will share insights from his book and speak about spirituality. On Sunday, April 26th, at 10 am, he will host a book club centered around his memoir.
