Lego Bionicle Tahu Minifig series 29 “upgrades”

Well just some simple stuff you could try for your own Tahu Minifig. Spray painted a mask gold because i found it would look cool ! It gives a really cool gold effect! Tahu has originally an arm thing on the old bionicle and I think this piece kinda works for that arm I just cut the black part of and painted some of it black 🔥

Loved the idea of making figs from the movie I watched 100 times when I was little! Should be getting helmets and armor for the rest of the characters soon! But Lego just made 1 of the mask so i thought I would start early! I really like how it turned out !

When LEGO partnered with Lucasfilm for LEGO Star Wars…
part of the agreement reportedly meant LEGO had to stop creating original extraterrestrial space themes outside the solar system.
Which means themes like:
Classic Space
Blacktron
M-Tron
Ice Planet
Exploriens
UFO
Insectoids
And all the other original LEGO sci-fi worlds…
were essentially pushed aside once Star Wars arrived.
It changed LEGO history forever.
Before 1999, LEGO Space was its own massive universe full of original factions, logos, ships, planets, and lore built entirely from imagination.
After Star Wars?
Licensed space became the main focus.
It’s one of the biggest “what ifs” in LEGO history:What would LEGO Space look like today if Star Wars never happened?
Would Blacktron still exist?
Would we have gotten modern versions of Futuron or Ice Planet?
Instead, LEGO entered the licensed era… and the entire company changed with it.
An absolutely fascinating piece of LEGO history from one of the people who was actually there.

As the conclusion of my MOC projects for the foreseeable future approaches, I thought now would be a good time to take things back to the beginning - not only to the beginning of my page, but the beginning of Bionicle itself. And so, before I begin the process of building up to and unveiling the big project that was the entire reason I started this page, I decided to share some pictures comparing the very first MOCs I posted here to their original 2001 counterparts.
Upscaling the Toa Mata with the Metru build style seemed quite fitting fory first MOC project, since 2004 was the year I was born, and those were the Toa that debuted that year. It's quite funny to think that most of the parts used in these MOCs pre-date my own existence, and yet they have fed my creativity so much, and here they are, some of them being almost 30 years old, and they have stood the test of time.
It begins with Gali, who takes on a darker and more muted colour scheme compared to Gali Mata from 2001. She sports the tallest and most slender build, and is armed with hooks at the hands, and flippers at the feet.
