I’m so happy to be a part of @thepleasance reserve 2026. Full disclosure, they take a picture of every act before you perform, so this picture was taken before I even took to the stage to tryout, and look at that cheeky face! I was so happy to be there. You see, I’ve applied for the reserve three times now, the previous two attempts I didn’t even get a tryout spot, but I guess third time’s a charm. I’ve had an amazing last 4 months in comedy, from winning the Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year to being signed by @fabcomedymgmt to getting a spot on the Pleasance Reserve and I want to acknowledge that! Because when it’s good you really do have to embrace it. From the outside looking in it probably looks like I’m on top of the world and some days I do feel that way. Yet some days, I doubt myself, I question my ability, I acknowledge how much of a gamble I’ve taken betting on me, I worry about the volatility of the arts industry, I worry about humanity…But I keep going and you should too, because the last four months of my life wouldn’t have happened if I let those thoughts get the better of me.
