Made in collaboration with @_rey.louise and filmed in Chapada Diamantina, BR. From 2020, a small eternity ago. We can’t wait to be back in this magical place for more creation. #dance #brazil #brasil #chapadadiamantina #dancefilm #landscape #contemporarydance #dança

A few thoughts on dance and the many forms it’s taken in my life. #brasil #dança

Paris while nobody’s watching. Life in this apartment has been like watching live theatre everyday. I’ve seen weddings, protests, picnics, funerals, laughter, fights, unbridled joy, meltdowns, street parties and many, many pigeons. #paris #paris18 #windowview

Brazil is so many things but for me there are a few constants: beach, hiking, dawn in Chapada Diamantina and caramelos in the supermarket.

Here’s a tiny slice of my life in this amazing city for the past five years. Relaxing in parks, eating out, watching the sun rise and set, and occasionally moving a refrigerator. #paris

Brazil was not part of the plan. The day I met my girlfriend, she confidently declared, “You’re coming to Brazil this year.” Six months later, I landed in Bahia. Nothing could have prepared me for people’s unparalleled kindness and a culture that lives life to its maximum intensity. Brazil is humming with energy and full of contradictions, but it welcomed me with open arms, for which I am eternally grateful!

Paris, the city of lights, love, and good food, but also of rats, tiny apartments, traffic, and paperwork. The essence of the city lies somewhere between all of this. When I think about my time here, I see hours spent around shared meals, laughter, friendship, and hard work… with the occasional glimpse of the Eiffel Tower shining in the background.

In 2020, I did it. I left the U.S. I moved to France. I embraced the unknown. Sorry For The Accent is the culmination of this, the adventure, the struggles, and the day-to-day. Over the past five years, I’ve learned a new language (and then surprisingly, another), built a life, succeeded, failed, adapted, and lived. #SFTA
