Since launching Boulevard LAB in 2019, my design practice has been an ongoing conversation of questions. Why is this idea one to follow, to unpack, to build upon?
A lot of the time the why remains unanswered during the work. It shows up after.
What I’ve learned is to trust the ideas that persist, the ones that return without resolution. Instead of forcing clarity, I’ve started holding onto them, documenting them and letting them evolve.
The more I leaned into that, the more intentional the work became.
With FOSS, I want to share more of that process, not just outcomes, but the ideas taking shape.

First Edition, from FOSS BOOKS and @studio____objects
Working Font Architecture into something that sits between discipline and instinct, a book that treats type design not as software or style, but as architecture. A system and a way of seeing.
Developed through the lens of @boulevard___lab , the book traces the foundations of type; proportion, rhythm, spacing, tension, and pushes beyond them into contemporary form-making.
Font Architecture becomes both document and process. Capturing decisions, experiments, and the quiet logic behind every form. It’s for those who want more than aesthetics, for those looking to construct meaning, and depth in their typography.

FONT ARCHITECTURE: Learn Type Design
How This Course Works?
This course is process-driven. Each lesson builds on the previous one, and progress comes from repetition, not speed. You’ll move between sketching, observation, and digital refinement, learning when to act and when to pause. You are encouraged to keep all versions of your work. Early sketches and rough drafts are not mistakes; they are reference points that help you understand how your thinking evolves.
