Projekt tematizuje vizuální podoby vědeckého pozorování, konkrétně u skupiny biologů – převážně herpetologů – během jejich terénních výzkumů. Namísto dokumentace samotných nálezů se soustředím na opakující se tělesné situace, gesta a postoje spojené s aktem hledání. Někdo se krčí u keře, jiný jen tak stojí a dívá se do země. Občas někdo leží. Všichni ale něco pozorují. Figury se stávají součástí krajiny, jsou do ní zasazené a zároveň mimoděk přebírají roli objektů pozorování.

This photographic project reflects the phenomenon of Czech seasonal balls, deeply rooted in Czech culture.
Balls are traditional social events held in the Czech Republic during the winter season from January to February. These events, including the popular Sokol, firefighter, and scout balls, are cultural occasions where people gather to dance, celebrate, and strengthen social bonds, often for charitable purposes.
The balls seem almost timeless, predominantly attended by the generation of “Husák’s children” (and older), with music and visual aesthetics seemingly frozen somewhere between 1980 and 2000. It is one of the islands of our “cultural identity” that remains more or less unchanged both aesthetically and content-wise, which makes it charming

Last week we played our last show of the year as a full band and I would like to thank everyone for going and dancing at our shows, we love you all!! At the begining of next year we will release an EP that contains 4 new songs and then in february we will head on our first european tour.
