One of the things I enjoy about being a fashion designer, is the ability to think fast at a dying minutes and create a masterpiece with perfection. If you notice this dress doesn’t have a single appliqué or stones nor beads… I said to my self, you have only this night to make this dress…. What can you put together. And Boom !!

When @ezinne_olivia sent us this fabric.
She said
“I am going to Benue state…. And I want to represent Igbo land in such a way that when they see me, they don’t need to ask where are you from, while still paying homage to Benue state.
And we said : Say no more .
In Igbo culture, a wedding is more than just the union of two people—it also creates an opportunity for other maidens in the community to present themselves. Young women dress in their finest attire, showcasing their beauty, elegance, and readiness for marriage, making it possible for eligible men to notice them.
This dress is a core representation of an Igbo maiden. Its intricate details, especially the use of seashells, symbolize heritage and identity. The seashells reflect a connection to water and abundance, drawing inspiration from regions like Benue State, where water and its resources have played a significant role in shaping cultural attributes.
