Last month, the Photobook project Workshop with Raymond Meeks took place at our friends @eglise.art in the heart of Palermo.
It was beautiful to see all those book projects coming together and everyone ending up with a consistent mock-up.

Discover our very first technical workshop in the program: IA TOOLS FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND VISUAL ARTISTS led by Alys Thomas.
Alys is a Franco-British photographer. She has long worked with analogue photography, but more recently she has been creating with AI. Across each, there’s a remarkable synergy of style, colour and light. In both, she brings her wry observation, with the idiosynchrasies of life a recurrent theme.
She meticulously crafts her AI-generated images, inputting her own photography into the process. She layers her own colour grades and retouch to create images that give a strong sense of her distinctive, human touch, making her creations uniquely her own. Her approach, and ours, is grounded in the belief that to produce the very best work, we have a workflow that totally engages our creative industry partners and can include real life casting, styling and location scouting to inform and shape the end result.
Apply and follow those 7 days of technical training to master and integrate the AI tools into your creative process.
During this workshop, participants will either work on an existing project or create a full AI photographic project.

My portrait by Todd Hido 🙌
Back in June 2022, Todd Hido shot this portrait of me in Cosprons, a small French village where we hold every year a photography workshop.
They cannot be seen on the picture but the photographers taking part in the workshop were present at the shooting session: Todd was showing how he works with light and environment when shooting portraits.
The result is stunning…for me, it’s a true Todd Hido portrait, mysterious and cinematic. I am not an egomaniac but I do have this picture framed and hanged at home 😎
During this week-long Immersion Photography Workshop in the South West of France, we all live in the same beautiful country house and the participants create a photo series, a sort of “carte blanche” of the place, a real challenge but with the professional guidance of Todd and his wonderful wife Marina.
I cannot wait to be back there at the end of June for the 4th edition of the Cosprons workshop!

We’re absolutely thrilled to announce this Immersion Workshop with the fantastic Cristina de Middel 🙌 from Sept. 27 to Oct. 4th.
Join us for a whole week on the Mediterranean Coast in South of France (Cosprons village) and learn how to create, edit and sequence a photographic series.
MESSAGE FROM CRISTINA DE MIDDEL ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:
AN ALBUM FOR THE END OF THE WORLD
We are living in a time of constant uncertainty. Political, climatic, technological. Everything seems unstable, yet we keep producing images as if nothing is happening.
This workshop starts from that discomfort.
Over the course of almost a week, we will work with a simple and radical idea: to imagine that the world will end at the end of the workshop. Not as a dramatic or apocalyptic gesture, but as an exercise in clarity. If there were only time to say one thing, what would it be? What image would you make if it were the last one? What story deserves to exist before everything disappears?
The proposal is to use this urgency as a creative engine.
This is not about predicting the future, but about taking a position. About connecting with an absolute message, without filters or excuses, and from there understanding one’s own practice more clearly: what we do, why we do it, and for whom.
We will work intensively and collectively, building together a shared project: a final album. A kind of impossible archive that does not aim to explain the world, but to leave a trace of how we are looking at it just before it disappears.
There will be space for intuition, error and contradiction. To try, fail, edit, destroy and start again.
More than answers, this workshop creates a pressure: the need to decide what matters.
And to do it now.

Welcome to Céline Pévrier, publisher and founder of sun/sun art book publishing house, in our mentors team!
Céline will lead mentoring sessions and meet the photographers after the workshops for their portfolio review.
Céline shapes books at the intersection of several disciplines—photography, graphic design, and literature. She creates organic editorial objects, often akin to artists’ books, where the materials and techniques used are themselves languages.
Institutions such as the Albert Kahn Museum, Mécènes du Sud, the DRAC Alsace, and the ANFAA Chair in Visual Anthropology entrust her with the development of publishing projects.
She collaborates with the designers Typical Organization in Athens, and her publications are regularly awarded (Chaumont Book Prize, finalist for the Nadar Prize, EBGR in Greece). Her publishing practice positions the book as a playground, a space for dialogue and openness that allows for multiple narratives of the worlds of yesterday and tomorrow.

Last November, British photographer RA GOEL took part in the Classical Portraiture Workshop with Todd Hido in Amsterdam.
The feedback he wrote us afterwards is so insightful that we share it here.
Thank you so much Ra for taking the time to write this detailed review and I am very glad you enjoyed it.
This year, we’ll run 2 workshops with Todd Hido, one in Cosprons (South of France) and another one in November in Paris, right after Paris Photo (dates to be announced soon).

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
I wish you good health, to feel joy at every corner and of course to stay inspired all the way through photography.
2025 was a great year for Eyes in Progress, we had no less than 18 workshops and 120 photographers taking part. Thank you everyone for your trust, I would not be here without you!
Here’s a little retrospective of those in-between moments in the workshops and happy group pictures.
Pictures speak louder than words don’t they?
