i have loved making and listening to ambient and downtempo music for so long and it was refreshing for me to play that out at a public event (felt like a long time coming)

Had the pleasure of DJing twice over the weekend at @renegade_playground_deaf_toll on their Deaf Toll rig.
Day two was teed up to be a sunny 2pm dub reggae set. People started pulling up as the afternoon kicked off, and one homie dancing up front asked if “this is the jungle set?”. I let him know he was in the wrong place, but he said he was loving the vibes so stuck around. I thought I’d switch it up for him and play some breaks (around 130-150pm). Then the set really took off. People were loving the breaks and jungle, so just kept it goin up and up and up! People dancing up front, aliens on the hill, vibes all round. Couldn’t wipe the smile off my face for this one.

Mixing vinyl yesterday at @catalogmusic.store has filled my cup !
It was my first time mixing vinyl only in public and was the best experience. Have been wanting to do something like this for quite a while now
