I am very grateful to the Erasmus+ programme for this opportunity. This was my first project of this kind, and it showed me how important it is to have spaces where people from different cultures can meet, talk about complex topics, and explore new ways of expressing themselves through creativity. I hope this is only the beginning of my journey in projects like this.
This week in the Spanish mountains, in Ribes de Freser, opened new perspectives for me, not only about other people but also about myself. It allowed me to step outside my usual way of seeing things and experience how powerful art and creativity can be as tools to reflect on social issues.
It was my first Erasmus+ Youth Exchange, and before that I mostly associated Erasmus with university exchanges. But this experience showed me that these projects are much more than that. They create space for connection, creativity, and meaningful international exchange.
During the workshops we explored social topics through creative activities, discovering how complex many of these issues are and how important it is to keep talking about them.
One of the warmest moments was the intercultural evening, where participants from Italy, Spain, Croatia, Slovenia, Latvia, and our group from Ukraine shared parts of their culture through food, music, and stories.
Daily games, conversations, and simply living through this week together created a very special atmosphere. I learned a lot about other cultures, but also about how easily people can connect when there is space for honesty and creativity.
A special thank you to Gemma speakingofgem and Ona
@unaona_ , the organizers of the project, for creating such a welcoming and inspiring environment for all participants.
