Tonight we’ll be celebrating the 4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of STRANGE CARGO on @great_circles_grcr ! I’ve asked good bud and music’s #1 fan @extra.andrew to deliver an hour long guest mix and boy did he deliver! Taken from one of his recent parties in his new hometown of Miami, this ALL VINYL (please clap 👏🏻) mix starts out strong and dives into all things proto, Italo and just plain house music! We first met through good pal and friend of the show @gee____dee at the now legendary @earthbeat_world weekenders. Or maybe it was a long night at @goodroombk , who can remember? For those not familiar this Miami by way of Brooklyn by way of Philly DJ is not only one of the funniest people I know but also a great selector and DJ. A true threat! As a member of NY trio Earth Beat along with Gee Dee and Latane Fundido, Andrew has been a resident at Brooklyn’s Good Room since 2018. Andrew’s deep passion for loud music has brought several noteworthy guests, including Tornado Wallace, Jamie Tiller, Maurice Fulton, Scott Zacharias, Jex Opolis, Ge-Ology, Mike Who, Heels and Souls, Lauren Hansom, John Gomez, and DJ Ray, amongst others.  I’ll be live in the shop for the first hour with Andrew on the second. Earlier this month we held the first edition of ‘Pieces of a Dream’, a 100% free & byob dance party for the community, just a few feet from the shoreline at Virginia Key Beach Park 🐬 The whole experience and outcome were extremely gratifying for all involved, and we wanted to take a sec to say THANK YOU to everyone who came through! It felt special seeing so many different faces from around the community gathered in the same place.. a rare occurence these days, and exactly what we sought out to achieve by focusing on community building over profits. If you missed the first one, don’t trip.. We plan on doing a lot more of these (weather permitting) and will send out updates/invites through our newsletter. Happy new year gang. Ended 2025 with a trip to Panama. Not to brag or anything, but I became a BIT of a nature expert (pictured). I’ve decided to keep EMBRACING THE GREAT OUTDOORS in 2026. That all starts this SATURDAY with an OUTDOOR PARTY @thetrianglelittleriver . What better way to celebrate the beauty, tranquility, and majesty of South Florida’s many ecosystems than by LISTENING TO MUSIC LOUD ON A BANGING DYNOCORD SYSTEM BABY!!?!?
