Starting Extnight in 2021 changed my world. I’ve been doing this work for nearly 20 years, but starting this production company is when it all came together. If you’ve ever watched or been a part of an Extnight video, thank you.
This music video is one shot, and this was the first and only take. @ally__evenson gave a genuinely special performance with only a couple of minutes to prepare. We had just finished shooting One Trick Pony, she was exhausted and it was a crazy long day. I sat her down and walked her through my impulsive idea for this, walked her through the emotions I wanted her to go through and we just rolled.
This was just one of those things. I'm proud to have set the stage, but this video is what it is because of Ally's performance. Super of how this turned out.
This is an unfinished music video from 8+ years ago with @dawningband . What you see here is as far as it got, and I’m sad it didn’t get finished. There’s some really cool ideas here that I miss.
It’s from a time when I’d get together with my best pals and we’d go in with no real plan and a lot of creative expression. Every wild idea was on the table, which often gets lost on more formal projects.
