✨Winged Phainon✨I think I’m finally satisfied with how this turned out 🥲 I’m pretty sure I made 10 versions of this haha. I’m really happy with how the wings turned out and proud of how I used more colors than I typically do 🤧 color picking is my best friend now lol. I used to heavily rely on multiply/overlay layers to lay shadows, but now that's just the first step. I learned to merge all of those layers to base layer and color picking is my new way to go 🫡

Ok I learned a lot from working on this but for my sanity I need to move onnnn 😭 I think I sat on this for a couple of weeks, trying new things 😅 I’m JUST now noticing how time consuming it is to apply new techniques to an entire piece instead of mutliple smaller practice artworks 😔 I also made him too blue I think lmao its fine!!!
Documenting the stuff I tried so I remember lol:
- tried color variation by placing more saturated colors next to desaturated ones (but kept the same value)
- tried not to overblend things when rendering aka kept some sharp edges
- tried playing with focal points by making the inside of the jacket more saturated and relatively desaturated everything else
Ugh I have so much more to learn but not enough time!! 🙃🙃

Finished my latest commission~ It was really cool working on this concept that my client (@_stardustbee_ ) had with her beautiful OC, Ayane, and Phainon 😍😍😍 she envisioned them as like a forbidden lovers concept with hands of their former selves trying to separate them from each other. Phainon has the flame reaver and khaslana’s hands pulling him away, and Ayane has the hands of nihility pulling her away in the opposite direction.

White Day art with my OC Lucas and his girlfriend, Aurora (who belongs to @arty.cuno ) 💕 I told myself I was just gonna do “simple rendering”….. but 6 hours later + numerous hand cramps I’m finally done 🫠🫠🫠 YAY I MADE IT before White Day ends!!!! its 9:30 pm on March 14, PST haha
I usually can’t draw this fast but Lucas had been dying to give Aurora his homemade chocolates (he insists he wasn’t late to give, and its soley my fault which is true lol he’s always on time) he hopes she likes them 😅 if not, he has 10 bouquets of flowers, suitcase full of foreign snacks, and a haul of luxury purses waiting for her just in case 😅💕
