Some lovely river books to go alongside our play the other day.
The river that flows beside me is full of fantastic facts.

We had a lovely walk and found a new (to us) river at the weekend. So we had a river tray too.

Let's make some butterflies 🦋
We used foam sheets from @hobbycrafthq as a base with double sided tape to stick shapes on.
The kids tried really hard to make them symmetrical.

Let's make a blossom tree!
Painted a cardboard pizza base and used our hands to make the tree trunk. Then added blossom and leaves with our paint.
Once the paint was dry we stuck on various sparkly bits and tissue paper to give it some extra texture.

🌸 Our @mums.memorybox dough and sensory base was the prefect pairing with the stunning blossom tree from @love_teach_play Along with the flower discs and roller and stamp, spoon and scoop 🌸

Here are some ice ideas.
Fizzy ice 2/3 bicarbonate of soda 1/3 water make a paste and freeze. I tried to layer this on top of some picky bits but it hadn't quite frozen so all swirled together, still fizzled when adding vinegar.
Coloured ice with food colouring (the pink and blue)
Clean egg shells with flowers frozen to work those fine motor skills.
