How many archive assistants does it take to produce a document?
Well, that can depend on how big an item is! In this example, it takes two to produce a large map from our strongrooms!

One of the core tasks we undertake here at the Record Office is cataloguing. Cataloguing collections enables access to the records in our care by everyone. If we don't catalogue it, we don't know what's in it!
Archive assistant Jo T. is currently working on the Warwickshire Museum photographic collection (PH1035). The collection, a result of many years of collecting by the museum service, features thousands of photographs depicting everything from agriculture to some slightly creepy looking dolls! Jo is carefully going through each photo, giving it a unique reference number and inputting any information from the photographs into our specialist cataloguing software, ready to go onto our online catalogue, Warwickshire's Past Unlocked.
