Found this beautiful snowflake and had to get a close look at it. Most people don’t realize that no two snowflakes form the same pattern. Temperature and humidity shape each one differently, so every flake is a completely unique design. #canada #snowflake #winter

Just a little over five years ago, I picked up a DSLR camera for the first time, not knowing it would completely change how I see the world. What started as curiosity quickly became an obsession—capturing the teeny tiny wonders of nature that most people overlook. From the forests of China to the wild landscapes of Canada and the rich biodiversity of Costa Rica, I’ve honed my craft, learning to see the unseen and bring the smallest details to life. Every shot is a new discovery, a reminder of how much beauty exists in the tiniest corners of our world. Here’s to many more years, more teeny tiny discoveries, and more travels! #natgeoyourshotbugs

Happy Mother’s Day! Spiders are incredible mothers in the arthropods world, from carrying babies on their back, guarding their babies or hold the egg sacs in their mouth. They show such motherly care for their young before & after birth. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there! #wildlifephotography #naturephotography

Found the biggest spider in Canada on a lake house deck in Nova Scotia… a giant fishing spider hiding right beside the water. #FishingSpider #NovaScotia

Totally! The OM System M.Zuiko 90mm F3.5 Macro is the sharpest macro lens I have used. At 2:1 magnification it pulls in detail the naked eye cannot process, with edge to edge clarity, smooth background separation, and weather sealing built for real field conditions. The autofocus is fast enough to track insects mid motion, which says everything. Whether you shoot insects, botanicals, or fine textures, this lens sets a standard that is hard to beat. At this price point it earns every dollar. #omsystem #macrophotography #biodiversity

This mantis was absolutely posing and I was here for it. Mantids have this way of just locking eyes with the lens and holding still like they own the space. No panic. Just presence. One of my favourite things about macro photography. Most people don’t realise mantises and cockroaches are actually cousins. Same superorder, completely different paths in life. One haunts your kitchen, the other evolved into one of the most precise predators on the planet. Same family. Very different life choices. Captured in the garden of @laurent_nam .

3am shooting time pays up! Here is a dragonfly covered in morning dew! Always a joy when I wake up early and step out to shoot and feel that wet blade of grass! I just know everything I find will be covered in dew. Looking forward to exploring more this summer.
