We grabbed our @revive.velo bikes from the @visitoliver Visitor Centre and rode along the International Hike and Bike Trail, which is an 18 km paved path connecting Oliver to Osoyoos Lake. The trail follows the Okanagan River through vineyards, orchards, and farmland, and it’s such a fun way to explore wine country without rushing from stop to stop. Partway through the ride, we left the trail and climbed up into the Black Sage Bench. The vineyard views up here are absolutely incredible and the e-bikes made the hills way easier! We stopped at three wineries along the way: 🍷 @phantomcreek One of the most beautiful wineries in the Okanagan with panoramic views. If you can, book the tour so you can see the underground wine cellar spaces beneath the tasting room and patio. 🍷 @nostalgiawines A fun, relaxed winery with a laid-back atmosphere that’s super welcoming. Grab a tasting and take a tour of their vineyards and production area. 🍷 @drinkriverstone Quite possibly the cutest garden-inspired winery I’ve ever visited. There’s live music, vineyard tours, and a patio that’s very hard to leave once you sit down. Our e-bikes were from @revive.velo (a local company who designed the bikes) and they’re super comfortable, easy to use, and named after the region which is a cool touch. They also lock through an app, which makes winery hopping so much easier since you don’t have to find somewhere to chain them up every stop. And if you didn’t know, Oliver is home to more than 40 wineries, so there’s no shortage of amazing places to explore on your next e-bike wine tour through the South Okanagan wine country! 📍 Ainsworth Hot Springs near Nelson, BC The @ainsworthhotsprings have been healing and relaxing people for hundreds of years. They’re located 45 minutes from Nelson and 20 minutes from Kaslo, BC. The entire area is so relaxing and laid back. ➡️ Comment “guide” for more details and accommodation options. The pools are open Wednesday to Monday, 10 am - 7:30 pm, no reservations needed. The 150-foot horseshoe cave is ~42°C and the lounging pool is ~35°C. The cave gets quite dark and very hot, so you can’t stay in for very long, but it’s such a cool experience! @peachcitysoda ’s cute dirty soda truck is officially open at Gyro Park in Penticton! 🎉 They have so many flavours to choose from, including signature drinks that all sound amazing, plus build-your-own options. You can choose from energy drinks, diet sodas, and even sparkling water bases, so the combos are pretty much endless. I got the Cloud 9, which is Sprite mixed with different kinds of strawberries and cream, and I LOVED it. Poor Jacob only got a sip 😂 I’d never tried dirty soda before, so when we realized it was opening day and we just happened to be driving through Penticton, we had to stop and see what all the hype was about. This Alice in Wonderland–inspired high tea at @oakandcru at the @deltagrandhotel in Kelowna is straight out of a storybook! Their Wonderland Cellar is one of the themed dining experiences they rotate throughout the year, and right now it’s all about High Tea 🫖♠️ You get a full spread of savoury bites (smoked salmon mini bagels, mini quiche, roast beef sandwiches), fresh scones with clotted cream, and desserts that are (aaaaaalmost) too pretty to eat. You can also upgrade to their 3-course menu with themed options like Hatter’s Duck Breast, Cheshire Cat Grin Beef Tenderloin, or Wonderland Seared Scallops (my favourite), plus themed cocktails like spiked Earl Grey tea! Dinner in a cozy lakeside dome on Okanagan Lake ✨ @frindwinery has their dining domes set up right on the water and it’s such a fun way to spend a night out. You can book them Wednesday to Sunday (until mid-April) with dining starting at 2pm and Happy Hour from 2-5pm. Or go for brunch on the weekends from 10-1, which would be such a cute way to start your day! We went for dinner and I have to say, their pizza is so good! And of course, you’re at a winery, so yes, the wine is worth it. Also, this is the only winery in North America located right on a lake! It’s been over two years since the fire and the last few months we’ve finally begun getting settled again. I can’t even begin to express the weight that’s been lifted from our shoulders. When we started furnishing our home, it was super important for us to do it as Canadian as possible and, after so much upheaval, all we want is our home to feel like a sanctuary. It’s pretty overwhelming having to start from basically scratch and we spent a lot of time looking for a couch. We ended up choosing @couch_haus because they’re from Vancouver and fully customizable. We wanted a deep, cozy, colourful couch with personality and we’re so happy every single day with our choice! We got the length customized, so it perfectly fits our living room, we well as the ottoman sized down so that it doesn’t block our patio door. I’ve also been using as many natural elements as possible in our home, so of course we chose the plum linen fabric and I’m so in love with it!
