Summer begins at Carlow Arts Festival! From May 28th to June 1st, the 2026 Carlow Arts Festival returns this June Bank Holiday weekend. Enjoy live music, bold theatre, stunning visual art and an exciting mix of local, national, and international work. With tons of free events for all the family, it’s the perfect way to kick off your summer.
Come join us for a spellbinding performance from the unique and renowned Irish musical artist Camille O’Sullivan; the spectacular dance and circus performance BLOCK by UK company Motionhouse; an incredible night of comedy headlined by award-winning comic, Andrew Maxwell, Carlow native Barry Fitzgerald is returning with Mourning is a Muscle, a work he first developed with the festival in 2024 and Spanish company La Mecànica’s immersive and interactive theatre experience A Teen Odyssey, plus much more.

Many thanks to everyone involved in last Saturday's 'RTE All Ireland Drama Festival' Gala Awards in the @radisson_blu_athlone .
The RTE team worked really hard in ensuring it was a roaring success once again.
I started acting with local amateur groups at the age of 16, so these awards have a special place in my heart, as I fully appreciate the long road it is to get to perform @thedeancrowetheatre . A journey to qualifying that is full of commitment, sacrifices, dedication & hard work.
I had a wonderful night co hosting with my great friend @james_patrice in celebrating the best of Irish amateur theatre. Congratulations to all winners & most especially Kilmeen Drama Group for being the 2026 winners of this prestigious festival for their performance of Enda Walsh's 'Ballyturk" 👏 🙌 🏆 Up Cork ! @kilmeendramagroup
