We had a lot of fun these past few weeks visiting schools as part of our @explorerseducation programme. We followed up with our schools who were completing their “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” projects. Students picked their favourite deep sea creature and researched them to create informative, creative and fun projects! We were amazed at the fantastic projects produced by the 4th class students! If you would like your school to be involved with @explorerseducation , clink the link in our bio! @corkcitycouncil @explorerseducation @marineinstituteireland

Sea Safari Days Are Back! ✨🌊 There’s nothing quite like watching a group of students step onto the shoreline and instantly become tiny marine explorers - eyes wide, sleeves rolled up, absolutely buzzing to see what lives beneath the rocks and seaweed. Our Explorers Education Programme Sea Safari brings classes right down to their local seashore to meet the real residents of the coast… and trust us, there are some seriously cool characters waiting to say hello. Crabs, shrimp, fish, seaweed forests - the shore becomes alive when you start looking closer. What we love most? It’s not just about spotting creatures - it’s about learning how to care for them. Students get hands-on with the shoreline while discovering how to interact responsibly with these habitats and teachers get equipped with the Marine Institute’s amazing resources: species ID sheets, fun facts, games, workbooks, activities… basically everything you need to keep the ocean magic going long after the boots are off and the classroom doors close. Every sea safari feels like a little adventure, a big breath of salty air and a reminder that the coast has endless stories to tell, we just need to slow down and listen. 💙 Ready to make your class marine biologists for the day? 🦀🌊 Let’s get exploring! @explorerseducation @marineinstituteireland
